| | | MESSAGE: | In 1981, my brother's girlfriend lent him a copy of the new 'Computer World' album. I was 9 years old.
The cover was fascinating, the German element was captivating, the music was stunning. 'Numbers' just blew me away. By my teens I was desperately hunting for their previous records (knowing nothing of their history), piecing together this glorious jig-saw.
25 years later, their music seems to be even better. I have composed several orchestral pieces dedicated to them, and was fortunate enough at the Brixton gig 1991, for Ralf to hand me his keyboard to play! A photograph of this momentous moment was published in 'Blick'.
They are the most important musical figures since Beethoven. |

I stumbled across Kraftwerk when I was 17 when my friend accidentally dowloaded "The Robots" video.
They grew on me like a cancer. I saw them live in Toronto during their 2004 World Tour; it was a life-changing experience.
This site is awesome!!!
I only hope I can see them live again. |

| | | MESSAGE: | i live in indonesia and kraftwerk isn't very popular here. and it's quite hard to find their albums in here. so how do i know kraftwerk? well there's a local band in here, called goodnight electric, that i like very much. they mention that their influence came from kraftwerk. so someday i went to singapore, go to the tower record, and saw all of their albums. i dont have any recomendation so i just chose 1 album randomly. you know what i took? it's trans europa express. i took it to the hotel, play it in my discman, and the rest is history.so far i only have TEE, autobahn, computer world, and radioactivity (this is my fav album). now i am still looking for the man machine album. dont know when i am gonna get it.... |

I first started listening to Kraftwerk a year ago (and found out what I had been missing all along).
I believe it's safe to say that this site has -really- turned me into a KW freak, with all its crazy trivia, interviews and even a comics/fanart section (SO amusing!!! :D).
